Accommodation
The stone-built former Manse dates back to the early 1900's and has been carefully modernized whilst highlighting its original features and details. Its high ceilings and bay windows offer guests a comfortable place to look out over the sea towards the hills of Applecross and the Mainland.
The Old Manse comfortably accommodates up to 9 guests in four bedrooms upstairs on the first floor:
• a king size room
• a twin room
• a small room with bunk beds
• a family room with a double and a single bed (a wooden baby cot can be provided upon request)
The two sitting rooms are furnished with comfortable sofas, a large selection of books, maps, toys, puzzles and boardgames, as well as a CD player, DVD player FreeView TV and an elderly piano for the DIY musician.
The well furnished eat-in kitchen will seat 10 guests comfortably around the table. A high chair is available upon request for our youngest guest. Facilities include a electric cooker with double fan assisted oven, a large larder fridge, a freezer, a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board.
The Old Manse has two bathrooms, one smaller shower room located on the ground floor, and a recently modernized bathroom upstairs. Our new bathroom offers our guests a deep bathtub with a powerful overhead shower and of course plenty of hot water.
A rear entrance porch as well as a front porch provide plenty of room to store and dry wet boots and clothes.
Our house is very cosy even in the colder months as the house is fully centrally heated with a new oil fired boiler and new radiators in every room.
Towels, bed linen, and fuel (including coal and/or wood for fireplaces) are inlcuded in our prices.
